I must say that the tour was absolutely average.
I was hoping to listen something more interesting from an historical point of view, expecially about Marie Antoinette, rather than the guide just repeating the old story about the Queen and her comment about the croissants, which by the way is not even true.
In fact, talking about Marie Antoinette, he also said some other wrong things (and i am sure about that as i read Antonia Fraser's biography and other similar books).
My main concern is, how many other not accurate things did he say?In fact, i know a lot about about Marie Antoinette but not so much about Louis XIV or french hisotory?It would be nice to find tour guides that can teach you something, rather than telling unaccurate stories.
A part from that he was really kind and his English very good.

The guide picked us up late and we had very little time to enjoy the gardens. We waited quite a long time to enter the palace. The guide was good but I don't think the tour was worth the price. I would not recommend it to others.

Both the guide on the minibus & at the palace were wonderful. They shared history & were open to answer any questions. Although I would like to have had more time to explore the gardens at Versailles, I would recommend this tour to others. Thank You.

It was a nice experience. Our tour guide is very experienced and organised. However, we will definetly want to spend a whole day exploring Versailles next time. Half a day is clearly not enough. The place is massive and it is mobbed by tourists, even during low season.

we were very pleased with our tour and our guide was terrific. He was very well informed and very personable.
however Versailles was EXTREMELY crowded which made it difficult to see and here our guide.
we would definitely book again with Cityrama.

My first visit to Versailes since 1947.
Excelllent guide (and very skilled driver). My only suggestion is that she should be more explicit about the exact meeting point where we assemble to leave.
The early rooms on the tour were very crowded, almost chaotic. Our guide did very well in making herself heard and shepherding us through. Some people would have been upset by the crowsed conditions (and the long queue at the ladies' toilets) but personally I was glad to see Versailles again. and thought the tour was good value

On Sunday, 8/28/2011, I took the 1/2 day Versailles tour and on Tuesday, 8/30/2011, I took the Hidden Treasures walking tour. Both guides were very knowledgeable and professional. The company takes these tours seriously and I was very satisfied. I also used Citirama back in December, 2009 during my first visit to Paris. Great job once again! WDG 9/8/2011
